Aloe Vera gel
The slippery and cooling inner of the succulent leaves of the Aloe Vera plant, this gel has been used since humans' discovery of it to effectively treat burns, skin irritation, and for its gently astringent properties in cleaning skin wounds. Aloe vera is very popular and effective among natural first aid medicines.
Arnica gel

Homeopathy / Homeopathic remedies
A safe and effective system of treatment, homeopathy has been in use for well over one hundred years and is a very popular treatment method in Europe. Much scientific and anecdotal evidence shows that homeopathic remedies, small sugar pellets carrying a exponentially reduced amount of tincture of various plants, minerals and animals, are excellent in treating acute traumas such as bruises, cuts and scrapes and bleeding, puncture wounds, animal bites and stings, heat exhaustion, headaches, shock, fear, etc. as well as deeper more chronic issues. One of homeopathy's strengths is that it is considered safe for users of all ages and medical conditions and has very little side effects. We offer a variety of homeopathic remedies in our kits with which we have had remarkable healing experiences. See individual remedy names for brief description of their acute usage.
- Arnica Montana
- Cantharis
- Nux Vomica
- Aconite
- Ledum Pallustre
- Apis Mellificus
- Ipecachauana
Holistic
pertaining to first aid, holistic, in our opinion, is deriving from whole, meaning one looks at the whole person and their whole symptom picture when treating, even during acute situations. Our natural first aid kits have been designed from this perspective which means we have included treatment options which will do the most to help heal the ailment, not simply to suppress the symptoms. Holistic first aid also incorporates the concept of treating the whole person with the whole planet in mind, thus we use local, reusable and low impact products whenever possible.
Flower essences
similar to homeopathic remedies, flower essences are exponentially small amounts of many different forms of flowers used in tincture form. Flower remedies are most commonly used to treat emotional symptoms such as fear, anxiety, stress, grief, tension, and many other specific emotional responses to life's upsets. The world's most famous flower essence is a combination of essences created by Bach called Rescue Remedy. See "Rescue Remedy" for more information.
Marie's Poison Oak Soap
An excellent herbal and all natural soap created to prevent and treat poison ivy and oak. One bar of soap in each kit can be used many times to wash exposed areas and treat rash if skin reacts. Designed by Marie after many years of struggling with poison oak outbreaks, we purchase directly from her homegrown company.
Moleskin
Soft and protective covering for skin irritations, moleskin is used to provide comfort and prevent increased irritation of the site of discomfort, such as to cover blisters while hiking.
Rescue Remedy
A blend of flower essences created by Bach, specifically formulated to treat stress and anxiety in all forms, Rescue remedy is a must have component in any first aid kit for its amazing ability to calm and support a victim of accident and injury and can even have helpful effect treating clinical shock and any strong emotional response. We highly recommend it.
Witch Hazel
A Native North American plant commonly used for its astringent, cleansing, and comforting properties to skin. In our natural first aid kits we offer Witch Hazel packets rather than alcohol for the cleaning of wounds because this preparation of Witch Hazel includes alcohol for antibacterial purposes, but is more soothing and healing to the
skin tissues than alcohol alone.
